Can’t find what you are looking for? Or have you got a special piece of jewellery which has sentimental value, but that you just don’t wear? Whatever the reason we can create an exquisite handmade ring or piece of jewellery, especially for you.

At Gladstones Family Jewellers we offer a fully bespoke design service for a truly unique gift. Each individual item is lovingly hand made in Somerset, by our Master Craftsman.

The first step is to talk through your ideas with one of our friendly team, who will be able to offer you guidance and ideas. You are welcome to bring any pictures or sketches of what you have in mind, although this is not essential.

We will work with you to decide on a design that you are happy with and is within your budget. It is not until you are completely happy that we will go ahead and you will be asked to pay a deposit. The rest of the cost will be payable on completion of your bespoke piece.

The whole process usually takes approximately four to six weeks, although if you have a special occasion we will endeavour to work within your time constraints.

18ct gold ring with diamonds and emeralds

Our client brought in a ring that they had had made abroad approximately 10yrs ago. Over time the emerald had chipped so they wanted it repaired. Our goldsmith advised that the same thing would happen again as the gold setting was too short and left the stones exposed.

It was advised that the ring could be completely remade in the same style but with slightly longer bars to protect the stones. The client agreed and although they were initially worried it would change the overall look of the ring, now couldn’t be happier. It’s fantastic, exactly the same, but better!

18ct Gold and Platinum Blue Green Sapphire and Diamonds

Our client wanted a classic style ring, but something a bit different. They fell in love with the unusual colour of the blue green sapphire and were advised to have it set in yellow gold to really show off the colour.

This was then surrounded with a halo of diamonds set in platinum. The final result is absolutely stunning.

Platinum and Diamond Flower Ring

Our client’s mother had always dreamed of a Platinum and Diamond flower ring in a rub over setting, so that it doesn’t catch.

The ring was commissioned for her 70th birthday and the client therefore wanted seven stones around the central diamond, but after collaboration with the goldsmith and once the diamonds had been chosen, it was decided that it had better symmetry with eight. This beautiful ring was the perfect present.

Platinum Raindance style ring

The client wanted a raindance style ring as a surprise for his partner, but with a twist.

They have young twins a boy and a girl, so the ring was to signify this. A pink and blue sapphire were chosen and set among diamonds. This impressive ring is a real eye catcher.

Platinum Bombay Style Ring

This ring was commissioned for a surprise 40th birthday present. The client’s wife had shown him a picture of a Bombay style ring with many tiny diamonds. We suggested that they were at risk of being knocked out. This ring was designed in a similar style but with 17 0.1ct brilliant round cut diamonds with stunning effect. It is a real show stopper. His wife’s only words were – I Love It!!
